Bamya Stew (Okra)
INGREDIENTS:
• 500 grams beef/lamb cubes
• 2 tablespoons cooking oil
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 3 tablespoons tomato paste
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon pepper
• Juice of 1 lemon
• 400 grams okra (frozen)
• 1/2 liter boiling water
• Garlic (optional)
HOW TO MAKE:
• Add oil and onions to a pre-heated pan until glazed
• Add meat and sear from all sides
• Add salt, pepper, tomato paste and 1/2 liter boiling water
• Cook on low heat for 1,5 hours
• Add lemon juice, bamya (okra), garlic and cook for 20 minutes on low heat
