Fasoulia Stew 


Ingredients:

• 500g beef or lamb cubes

• 1 small onion, chopped

• 2 teaspoons salt

• 1 teaspoon pepper

• 3 tablespoons tomato puree

• 600g canned cannellini beans, drained

• 2 tablespoons oil

• 1 liter boiling water


Instructions:

1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened and slightly golden.

2. Add the meat cubes to the pot and brown them on all sides. Season with salt, pepper, and stir in the tomato puree.

3. Pour in the boiling water and bring the mixture to a simmer.

4. Add the drained cannellini beans and stir to combine.

5. Reduce the heat to low and let the stew cook for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally. If the stew becomes too thick, add more boiling water as needed to reach your desired consistency.
