Heleeq -  Iraqi Harosset

A traditional Passover spread

Ingredients:

• 400g date syrup (silan)

• 150g finely ground walnuts

Instructions:

In a medium bowl, pour in the date syrup.

Add the ground walnuts and mix thoroughly until well combined and smooth.

Serve as a spread on matzah or wrapped in romaine lettuce leaves for a traditional Passover taste.

Tip: For a slightly chunkier texture, you can reserve a tablespoon of coarsely chopped walnuts to stir in at the end.
